BC's York breaks NCAA hockey win record with 925


MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Boston College coach Jerry York became the NCAA hockey career victory leader Saturday, directing the top-ranked Eagles to a 5-2 win over Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday in the Mariucci Classic.
The 67-year-old York is 925-558-95 in 41 seasons to move past former Michigan State coach Ron Mason for the record. In 19 seasons at Boston College, York is 458-223-61.
York downplayed the accomplishment.

he Patriots have waived defensive lineman Ron Brace and promoted two players, wide receiverKamar Aiken and defensive back Malcolm Williams, from the practice squad, according to a league source. In addition, defensive end Jermaine Cunningham, who finished serving a four-game suspension in Week 16, was activated to the 53-man roster. 

Brace, a 2009 second-round pick, had four tackles in 10 games played this season. He has been inactive in recent weeks, and was primarily a reserve defensive lineman throughout his tenure with the team.
